Government vs Private Health Care Insurance

Medicare has been consistently rated the top health care insurance program in the country by medical professionals. That is a government run program. The Veterans Administration Hospital system has consistently been rated one of the best. I'll attest to that. I go there. The VA, of course, is government run.
The private sham health insurance industry by comparison is by far inferior, incompetent, and sometimes criminal when it comes to people's health. One does not need to investigate too far before finding someone whom has suffered because coverage was denied, or the deductible was too high, or the cap was too low. Most of the loud mouth louses against health care reform, I suspect, still have health care insurance (arn't you the lucky ones) or have not had a serious health issue yet to test the cap. So screw everybody else, right?

The neo-conservatives rant and rave about the U.S. Government like the people working there are Nazis or Communist sympathisers. Ronald Reagan did it, and so did George Bush. But by the time those two left office each had balooned the biggest federal government in history and transferred the wealth of the U.S. Treasury to their friends and associates. So big government is OK to neo conservatives as long as it takes care of the wealthy. Ronald Reagan preached trickle down economics where you give everything to the wealthy and the bones that trickle down should survice the diminishing middle class and poor. The Net Worth of the top 2% wealthiest people in the country almost tripled under George Bush and much of that wealth was sent off shores to avoid taxes, as we know from some recent big profile arrests. Now the rich are scrambling with their high priced attorneys to cut deals with our government because Switzerland is making available their secret bank accounts. Perhaps we can get back some of that corporate welfare to the rich and Republican connected. Retrieve those funds and use it to pay for the 'Public Option' of welfare reform which is vitally needed if we are ever to get all citizens insured and contol health care costs.

How many of you would opt out of Medicare and Social Security? We heard the same arguments against those programs when they were first introduced. Remember, many wealthy people self insure and therefore have no need for health insurance. Many of them also do not want corporate funds or taxes to pay for your health care because they feel entitled to that money and, in their view, can be best squandered overseas on fine living for their very extravagant and lavish lifestyles. The diminishing middle class and poor are expected to appreciate the entitlements of the upper class and abide accordingly.
